The Cumberland Mayor and City Council has approved a $106,000 Small Business COVID-19 Relief Fund; the application process can now move forward for businesses who apply. The fund provides 36-month, interest-free loans to eligible employers. The loans will include a six-month grace period before the 36-month term for payments commences. Loans vary from $2500 to $7500, depending on the number of employees at affected businesses. The city, in conjunction with the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation, developed the loan program.
