HAND SANITIZER RECALLED

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning citizens about a certain type of hand sanitizer containing methanol or wood alcohol, which can be toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested. The hand sanitizer is made in Mexico by several different manufacturers, and claims to contain ethanol. However, the sanitizer has tested positive for methanol contamination. Methanol poisoning can cause serious health effects. A list of the sanitizers can be found on the Food and Drug Administration website.
