HOGAN EXPANDS MASK ORDER

Beginning tomorrow, all Marylanders will be required to wear masks in the public areas, and also outdoors, when it is not possible to maintain social distancing. Governor Larry Hogan also issued a public health advisory, for residents to avoid traveling to states with spiking metrics, such as Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. He says that whether it be personal, family or business travel, Governor Hogan is advising that you either postpone or cancel your trip, for now. Governor Hogan called for a “pause” in reopening the state and noted that most areas of the state report an under 5 per cent positivity rate, with the exception of a “spike” in those under 35. Hogan announced he was expanding Maryland’s “Masking Order,” requiring face coverings in public spaces of all businesses and in outdoor areas, where social distancing isn’t possible.
