ONE DEATH, FIVE NEW COVID-19 CASES AS OF FRIDAY

A community member in their 70’s has died from COVID-19, and there have been five new confirmed cases, including two females in their 20’s, a woman in her 30’s, a woman in her 40’s, and a man in his 70’s. None of the new cases has required hospitalization. The cumulative number of cases in the county is now 404. To date, 16,142 Allegany County residents have been tested for COVID-19 and received their results, with 15,738 testing negative. A free drive-thru testing event will be held at the Allegany County Fairgrounds on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Participants are asked to bring an ID and remain in their vehicles.
