ZACOT REMOVED FROM KEYSER COUNCIL

The Keyser Mayor and City Council have voted to remove council member William Zacot, at the advice of the city’s attorney. Zacot, the city’s parks and recreation commissioner, was indicted in May of last year on one felony count in connection with the embezzlement of funds from the Keyser Youth Baseball League. He entered a plea of “no contest” in late January, and was sentenced in July to 7 years’ probation.
