Dunbar, West Virginia resident Ramhazz Khaliph Corley and Javon Jamie Smith of Philadelphia were arrested in a traffic stop on Interstate 68 Monday night, and now face drug and weapons charges. A K-9 scan of the vehicle alerted officers to the odor of a controlled dangerous substance within the car. A search yielded a loaded 9-mm handgun, along with $20,000 in cash, as well as numerous capsules containing controlled dangerous substances. Both were charged and were released, following an initial District Court appearance. Additional charges may be filed, pending confirmation of the unknown CDS. The vehicle was impounded and the gun, CDS and currency were seized by the Sheriff’s Office.
