A child was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown yesterday afternoon, after being hit by a car in the Bel Air area. The child was treated at the scene and then taken to Morgantown for treatment of possible life-threatening injuries. The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Cresaptown Fire Department and the Allegany County Department of Emergency Services. The incident remains under investigation by a reconstructionist of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office.
