COUPLE HOMELESS FOLLOWING MARYLAND AVENUE FIRE

The Cumberland Fire Department has been very busy the last several days, with the latest blaze at 721 Maryland Avenue late Sunday morning. Jeffrey and Audra Clark were left homeless by the fire, which caused a loss of $80,000 to the home’s building and contents. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the building, before encountering fire in the living room.  The Clarks are reportedly being provided emergency assistance by the American Red Cross.
