Garrett County is reporting 39 new COVID-19 cases since the last time case information was released by the Health Department. Ages of positive cases range from 10 to 19 years old, up to a female, who is in her 90’s. Contact tracers have been contacting new positive cases, as well as checking back with those who remain in isolation because of a positive diagnosis. In Grant County, there were two new cases with one being a household contact to a previous positive person. They are both quarantining at home and all contacts have been notified. Grant County is also reporting the death of a 71-year-old victim. It is not known whether the victim was male or female.
