Thirty-nine-year-old Wayne Larkin Sorrells III was charged with two counts of assault and second-degree child abuse, following an incident in late September in the 200-block of East Industrial Boulevard. A juvenile victim told police that her mother’s boyfriend, Sorrells, had assaulted them. Sorrells fled the area but police arrested him on Tuesday. He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he was held without bond.
