MAN INJURED IN ALLEGED DRUG DEAL

McHenry resident Henry Sines was severely injured late Wednesday afternoon, in what police are calling a drug deal gone bad on Bumble Bee Road. Sines was standing beside a van, driven by 39-year-old Friendsville resident Timothy Ross, and in the van was 52-year-old Friendsville resident Debbie Lancaster. The suspected transaction was interrupted, and Ross fled the scene. Sines grabbed the door of the van, causing him to be pulled alongside the vehicle; he then fell down and was run over by the van. Sines was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. Ms. Lancaster was found to be in possession of CDS and paraphernalia. She was released on her own recognizance. Ross was taken to the Garrett Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries from a separate motor vehicle accident, and further charges are pending.
