HOGAN ROLLS BACK COVID GUIDELINES

Effective today at 5 p.m., all bars and restaurants will have to reduce capacity from 75 to 50 per cent. During a news conference yesterday in Annapolis, Governor Hogan released a number of other guidelines, including a Maryland Department of Health recommendation, limiting indoor gatherings of 25 or more. Governor Hogan also issued a travel advisory to states with higher COVID-19 metrics. Telework is back in play, as all non-essential state employees will now be working from home; he also recommends that for other businesses, where employees can work from home. He mentioned Allegany County, and its rising metrics, several times during the press conference, and noted there will be a free testing facility, opening today at the Allegany County Fairgrounds.
