Twenty-year-old Bruce Ruth III is being held without bond, following a purse-snatching incident in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue. Police say Ruth ran up behind a victim in a parking lot, pulled them to the ground and forcefully took the victim’s purse, before fleeing. He was ultimately taken into custody and charged. Ruth received an initial appearance in District Court, before being remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center.
