The Allegany County Sheriff’s Department arrested Brandon Michael Thomas, who was located in a neighboring jurisdiction. Thomas was wanted in connection to a recent investigation into a local opioid overdose. A search and seizure warrant in the Valley Road area yielded quantities of both suspected heroin and fentanyl, along with several firearms, which Thomas was prohibited from possessing. Local charges are being filed as a detainer, until he can be extradited back to Allegany County.
