The Cumberland Economic Development Corporation will hold a groundbreaking for the Cumberland Gateway Project. An on-site ceremony will take place next Friday, December 18th. The project has long been a priority of the CEDC, with involvement and support from the state of Maryland, the Western Maryland Delegation, Allegany County Commissioners and the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland. The Cumberland Gateway Project, once completed, is expected to include a hotel, sit-down restaurant, fast-service restaurant, convenience store, and shops.
