MITCHELL AWARDS PRESENTED BY COMPTROLLER

Former Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates Cas Taylor is one of the recipients of the R. Clayton Mitchell Awards for Distinguished Public Service.  Maryland State Comptroller Peter Franchot created the award to honor the legacy of Mitchell, a former Delegate and Speaker of the House. The award recognizes past or current elected officials at all levels of government who exemplify Mitchell’s spirit of public service. Garrett County’s recipient is Peggy Jamison and Charles “Skip” Kauffman from Washington County.
