The Cumberland barrack of the Maryland State Police should be completed by early next year, although there have been delays in the delivery of construction materials due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The price tag for the new building is $12.6 million, and will include offices for the State Fire Marshal’s Office, vehicle services, a repair facility for electronic radio services and accommodations for K-9 officers. The temporary barracks are located on Pittsburgh Plate Glass Road in Mexico Farms.
