The Allegany County Health Department reports the total number of COVID-19 cases now stands at 5,276, with a total of 153 deaths to date. The county’s case rate is 44.43 cases per 100,000 population, with the state average is currently 38.73 cases per 100,000. The positivity rate is now at 6.28 per cent, while the statewide average is 7.42 per cent. There will be NO fairgrounds drive-thru testing and no Allegany County Health Department updates on Friday, New Year’s Day. Testing is available on Wednesday of this week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
