One person sustained a minor injury in a small fire in the basement of an Iris Avenue residence Wednesday evening. The person was treated at the scene and did not require transport to the hospital. The fire broke out around 6 p.m. Responding was the Bowling Green Volunteer Fire Department. Cresaptown and LaVale Volunteer Fire Departments also responded. Additional area companies were on standby during the incident.
