TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN DRUG CHARGES

Cumberland resident Breann Carol Haines was arrested Sunday morning, following a traffic stop on Centre Street, and now faces drug charges. She was a passenger in the vehicle; a free air sniff by a K-9 officer resulted in an alert for controlled dangerous substances. Following a search of the vehicle, officers recovered a pipe, used to smoke crack cocaine. She was arrested and issued a criminal citation and released pending trial in District Court.
