Dr. Sean McCagh passed away yesterday morning, following a battle with COVID-19. He was 60 years old. Sean launched the Hooley Plunge in Allegany County, which has raised well over a million dollars for Special Olympics and programs for the developmentally disabled in the county. He joined Western Maryland Dermatology about 20 years after the practice was founded by his brother, Dr. Mike McCagh. Sean McCagh graduated from Georgetown University in 1992 and completed his internship at the Washington Hospital Center in 1993. He finished his dermatology residency at the Robert C. Byrd School of Health Sciences at West Virginia University in 1996. A Spring Memorial service is planned.
