BLANK APPOINTED SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

The Allegany County Board of Education has appointed Jeff Blank, who had been interim superintendent of schools for the past two years, to permanent superintendent. The board offered Blank a four-year contract, and the appointment will now be sent to the Maryland State Superintendent of Schools for final approval. His tenure in Allegany County began in 1988, and has served as assistant principal at both Washington Middle and Fort Hill High Schools, assistant supervisor of transportation, and as Chief Administrative Officer and a member of the Superintendent’s Senior Staff.
