Thirty-four-year-old Jeremy Pifer of Cumberland was arrested Saturday afternoon, and now faces both assault and drug charges. The victim claimed that they had been assaulted, and that Pifer also assaulted a child during a previous incident. After he was arrested, a search revealed a quantity of drugs, and was charged for that as well. He received an initial appearance in District Court, and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he was held without bond.
