MAN SERVING HOME DETENTION FOR CAPITOL RIOTS

A man accused of hitting a police officer with a fire extinguisher at the Capitol riot has been given home detention.  A Maryland judge on Friday granted Matthew Miller’s request.  Miller is being monitored electronically during his home detention at his mother’s house in Ellicott City, Maryland.  He’s also allowed to go to work.  Federal prosecutors allege Miller used a fire extinguisher to attack a police officer during the January riot.
