Maryland State Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Karen Salmon, has approved the appointment of Jeff Blank as the Superintendent of Allegany County Schools, effective July 1st through June 30th of 2025. At the February meeting, the Allegany County Board of Education voted to remove the interim title. Blank had served as interim superintendent since the departure of Dr. David Cox.
