CRIMINAL INTERDICTION IN CUMBERLAND

City Police, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police conducted a criminal interdiction within the city of Cumberland on Friday. As a result, officers conducted 22 traffic stops, 11 K-9 scans, served two grand jury indictments for CDS-related charges, and were able to recover various quantities of heroin and fentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. Two search warrants were executed as well. Names of those taken into custody are being withheld due to further investigations and possible future charges.
