Terra Alta resident Joshua Armstrong was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in federal prison for sending pornography to a minor. Armstrong pleaded guilty in October, admitting sending obscene material to the minor under the age of 16 in Preston County in August of 2016. The incident was investigated by the West Virginia State Police.
