HOGAN PROPOSES BONUSES FOR STATE EMPLOYEES

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan wants all state employees to get a one-thousand dollar bonus.  It would cost Maryland about 74-point-one million dollars, but Hogan says the state has the money on hand because of financial belt-tightening early in the pandemic.  The Republican governor sent his proposal to the General Assembly as a supplement to his proposed budget yesterday.  If approved, state workers would see the money in April.
