Maryland United States Senator Ben Cardin is applauding aid coming to movie theaters, live venues, and other cultural institutions, through the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Program. It will begin accepting applications on April 8th and was created by the bipartisan Economic Aid Act passed by Congress in December. The updated plan will allow entities that have already received a Paycheck Protection Program loan to apply for SVOG to address the program’s delayed opening.
