The Mineral County Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday, beginning at 5 p.m., to hold a hearing on closing and consolidating three schools, including the Frankfort Intermediate School, the Fort Ashby Primary School, and the Wiley Ford Primary School. The hearings will be held at 5, 6, and 7 p.m. respectively. Superintendent Troy Ravenscroft is recommending the closure of each, consolidating them into what will be known as the Frankfort District Primary School. If approved, the changes would take effect in the 2023-2024 school year.
