A Garrett County man died in a fire yesterday morning in the 3,000-block of Old Bethlehem Road. He died in the mobile home fire; the trailer was owned by Richard Roderick, but he was not the one living there. It was learned the victim was a smoker, and was on home oxygen for health reasons; while this combination may have contributed to the cause of the fire, an exact cause still remains under investigation. Investigators are estimating a total of $15,000 in damages were done, between the structure and its content. The investigation is continuing.
