The Maryland Department of Health reported 867 new COVID-19 cases yesterday. This brings the statewide confirmed case count up to more than 419-thousand. Fifteen people died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours. Since the pandemic began, more than eight-thousand people have died due to the virus. Health officials say the statewide positivity rate is down a bit to five-point-eight percent.
