The Allegany County Health Department is reporting 43 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number to 6,602. No additional deaths, as of Friday, were reported. The county’s positivity rate is at 2.26 per cent; the state rate is 5.59 percent. As of Friday, 19,893 residents have received at least their first dose of the two-dose vaccine, with 12,232 now fully vaccinated with their second dose. Additionally, 1,057 have received the single dose Johnson and Johnson shot.
