STATE UNIVERSITIES COULD REQUIRE COVID-19 VACCINATIONS

The Maryland Attorney General’s Office says state universities could require COVID vaccines for anyone returning to campus.  A spokesperson for the General Assembly says USM would likely be able to defend a mandate with testimony from health experts.  They say it would probably be easier to require students to get the shot than it would be for faculty and staff.  But it’s unclear at this point if state universities would try to move forward with a vaccine mandate for on-campus students and staff.
