A criminal summons was issued for Michael Butler of Cumberland, in connection with an October incident where officers were serving an arrest warrant on him. During the arrest, he allegedly passed CDS off to another person. Officers recovered what they believed to be an amount of heroin. Once lab results were received, officers applied for charges in District Court. He was then charged with two counts of possession of CDS, not marijuana, two counts of distributing narcotics, and one count of obstructing justice. He received a District Court hearing and was later released, pending trial.
