MARYLAND REPORTS UPTICK IN COVID HOSPITALIZATIONS

Maryland health officials are reporting an uptick in the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 compared to a month ago.  The Department of Health says there are more than 12-hundred Maryland residents hospitalized with the virus and 294 patients are in intensive care. The seven-day positivity rate is 5-point-3-9-percent.  To date the state has administered more than 3-point-9-million doses of coronavirus vaccine with more than 1-point-6-million residents fully vaccinated.
