HOSPITAL OFFERS MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY TREATMENT

Howard County General Hospital is now offering Monoclonal Antibody Treatment on an outpatient basis to fight the coronavirus. The treatment uses laboratory made proteins that mimic the immune system’s ability to fight off viruses.  The one-time treatment is given through an IV and can help to prevent worsening COVID-19 symptoms and hospitalizations.  County Executive Calvin Ball says the initiative is another important step toward keeping residents safe.
