STATE RECORDS JUST OVER 670 NEW COVID CASES

Maryland has recorded just over 670 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the number of confirmed cases to more than 444,000 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 18 additional fatalities related to the virus, for a death toll of more than 8500. The Maryland Department of Health says there are 11-hundred-30 patients in the hospital and 269 are in intensive care. The seven-day positivity rate is 4-point-zero-4-percent.  The state has administered more than 4-point-4-million doses of the coronavirus vaccine and more than 1-point-8-million residents are fully vaccinated.
