MARYLAND RECORDS 942 NEW COVID CASES

Maryland has recorded 942 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the number of confirmed cases to more than 447,000 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 25 additional fatalities related to the virus, for a death toll of more than 8500. The Maryland Department of Health says there are one-thousand-42 patients in the hospital and 269 of them are in intensive care. The seven-day positivity rate is 3.72-percent.  To date, the state has administered more than 4.6 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine and nearly two million residents are fully vaccinated.
