Governor Larry Hogan is encouraging all Marylanders to be ready for a long and noisy spring. This comes as the region prepares for the pesky and loud insects known as cicadas. Governor Hogan has declared May and June 2021 as Maryland Magicicada Months. He says this will recognize the return of the fascinating insects that come around every 17 years on the East Coast. Remember, cicadas are no threat to you, your pets, and most plants.
