A burglary was discovered at the Oakland Golf Course and Shrimp on the Barbie restaurant on Sunday, when an employee reported for work. The break-in happened at 4:24 a.m. Entry was gained through a rear patio door; an electrical meter was pulled from a panel wall, which disrupted electrical service to the business. Cash was taken from the restaurant, and an electronic juke box and dart board game were damaged; money was also taken from them. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oakland City Police or the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.
