The state of Maryland has now administered more than 5-million doses of coronavirus vaccine and more than 2-point-2-million residents are fully vaccinated. The Department of Health has recorded 768 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the number of confirmed cases to more than 452,000 since the start of the pandemic. There have been eleven additional fatalities for a death toll of more than 8600. There are 859 patients in the hospital and 219 are in intensive care. The seven-day positivity rate is 3-point-5-3-percent.
