A walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held Thursday at the Allegany County Fairgrounds Multipurpose Building from 9 to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. No appointment is necessary and both the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be offered. About a third of the county’s population has received the first dose of a two-dose vaccine, while a little over one-fourth of residents are fully vaccinated. There are 14 new COVID cases reported, zero deaths, and 4.12 per cent positivity rate. In Maryland overall, the rate is 3.06 per cent.
