The area will see a Dunkin’ Donuts, or now simply “Dunkin,” locate in LaVale by the fall of this year. The chain has firmed up plans and will operate out of the former First People’s Community Federal Credit Union location in LaVale Plaza. The new store will employ 20 to 25 people and be branded as one of its “Next Generation” stores, with a modern atmosphere and innovative features. Starbuck’s has also announced plans to open a store along National Highway in LaVale. That will be at the former Slumberland Motel property, adjacent to the recently constructed Taco Bell.
