In the past week, the Allegany County Public School system reported zero cases of COVID-19 in staff members, with six cases of COVID in students who were withing an Allegany County public school. There will be a vaccine kickoff event, targeting school students on Wednesday at Greenway Avenue stadium. The clinic will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Parents can register their child, using the link that was provided by their child’s school. The clinic will be available to the first 100 people who register. Any student under 18 will need a parent or legal guardian to accompany them to the clinic. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered. While his schedule is still in the works, Governor Larry Hogan is scheduled to visit Cumberland on Wednesday, his first visit to Cumberland since the pandemic began.
