EXPECT A WATER/SEWER INCREASE IN FY ‘22

There will be, most likely, a 9 per cent increase in water and sewer services in the county, beginning July 1^st. The Allegany County Commissioners are considering a proposal that would increase annual bills by about $60, or $5 per month. The water/sewer account now has a $325,00 0deficit, and the increase will be felt in all 20 county districts. A vote on the proposed increase is scheduled during the May 27^th county commissioners’ meeting.
