NEW COVID CASES, ONE ADDITIONAL DEATH

There have been 15 new cases of COVID-19 in Allegany County, with one additional death. The county positivity rate is 2.22 per cent, with the state rate at 2.6 per cent. Last week, Governor Larry Hogan announced a relaxation of mask requirements, and that indoor masking requirements will be totally lifted, once 70 per cent of all Maryland adults have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The goal, according to the Governor, is to have everything back to normal by Memorial Day.
