HOGAN SIGNS BILL TO EXTEND CARRY-OUT LIQUOR SALES

Marylanders can continue to order cocktails with their carry-out meals.  Governor Larry Hogan has signed a measure allowing take-out and delivery sales of alcohol by restaurants, bars and taverns.  Under the new law, the to-go sales of liquor, beer and wine will continue for the next two years.  Other bills that were signed include legislation to legalize sports betting and a repeal of “Maryland, My Maryland” as the official state song.
