The leader of a Maryland-based company is taking responsibility for millions of ruined COVID-19 vaccines. Testifying before lawmakers on Capitol Hill Wednesday, Robert Kramer, the CEO of Emergent Bio Solutions, said he takes “full responsibility” for the production problems that led to a batch of 15-million doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine being ruined back in March. According to documents from the investigation, Emergent had been warned of production problems, including contamination risks and unsanitary conditions.
