There have been five new COVID-19 cases reported by the Allegany County Health Department as of last Thursday. There have been zero additional deaths. Four walk-in clinics are scheduled for this week at local fire departments, including the Oldtown Volunteer Fire Department tomorrow; Flintstone will hold a clinic on Thursday. Next week, the Good Will Fire Company in Lonaconing will hold a clinic on Tuesday; Mount Savage’s clinic will be on Thursday, June 3rd. The clinics will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, and no appointment is necessary. The single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be provided; also, individuals can receive their second dose of the Moderna vaccine at the clinics. The positivity rate for Allegany County is 3.18 per cent, while the Maryland rate is 2.07 per cent.
